Want Office 2013 but don’t want to wait for the Office365 Upgrade? Use the Office Deployment Tool!
For those users on Office365 that have not been upgraded yet, there seems to be no way to get Office 2013, as the download section still shows Office 2010.
There in fact is a way, and that way is through the Office Deployment Tool, available here:
http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30344
This download has two files in it, setup.exe and configuration.xml. To make this magical process work, you need to create a shared folder on your PC, you can call it share for the purposes of the script below, place the ODT folder in there, and create a new folder called Office.
Configuration.xml needs to be edited a bit, like so:
Once that’s done, open a Command Prompt, go to the ODT folder and enter this command:
setup.exe /download configuration.xml
You should see the download start in the command prompt, kinda has a Linux feel to it I must say…
If you need help with this, don’t hesitate to call us at 1(855)365-OFFICE!
