Extended Support Coverage

Situation

A client of ours is an international provider for hospital management and consulting. They offer IT advice for hospitals and help to contract executives for boards.

Through our VentureTech Network partnership, we were able to create a centralized help desk system for their clients that had offices outside our normal service area.

Solution

When desktops and laptops need to be serviced, temporary replacement systems are sent out from our VTN partners. The help desk handles the deployment of these systems.

The replacement systems are created by transferring consistent desktop images (virtual “snapshots” of an installed operating system + software) of all computers on our clients’ network onto a secure server.

Results

Downtime is minimal. If a computer malfunctions, another one is loaded with the same image and sent out. The same day a broken computer is sent in for repair, a system arrives to replace it. Instead of taking 3 days or more, this process takes less than a day thanks to express delivery.

This solution gives our client peace of mind. They know that their data is always backed up, and a replacement system can be shipped out when needed.

It’s a testament to the strength of VTN. By working in tandem with other companies across North America, we can expand our service coverage from coast to coast.
