Business Continuity Planning
When we create a technology plan, we weigh all the options. This includes looking at services provided by competing companies. Our objective is to always create a plan that’s in our customers’ best interest.
Situation
Some of our clients have been with us since we first began providing IT services. One in particular has changed the function of our relationship seven times.
At first, we were brought in to improve their network operations. We replaced one older server with multiple newer ones to meet their growing IT demands. Then we implemented a disaster recovery system with routine desktop backups.
Later, our client brought us back to create a business continuity plan for their new home office. This involved the evaluation of 7 alternative service providers, one being Quartet.
Solution
The result was our recommendation for one of our competitors’ locations. Their site matched our client’s criteria the best. Once the site was picked, we began to set up the new network and establish connectivity.
After, we sat down with our client to have a disaster recovery planning session. The purpose was to gain a better understanding of our client’s needs, and to give our client insight into how support for databases worked.
This was followed by building and testing backup systems for their data.
We worked with our client’s management and in-house IT department to ensure all their needs were met, such as response rate and downtime.
Our sincere effort to improve our client’s IT quality has resulted in them frequently coming back to us with new projects.
