Managed by strong investment professionals, NexGen sought a technology service company who possessed strong skill sets and staff who could offer reliable advice. Unfortunately, on March 21, 2007 – the day of NexGen’s initial public offering – their server crashed.

Disaster Recovery: Massive Water Damage

A business located above one of our client’s offices has a liquid-cooled air conditioning unit. On June 26, 2007 at approximately 1:00PM the water supply connector that went between the main waterline (which comes in from the city) and the backup line sprung a leak.

Large Office Relocation & Variable Billing

We often talk about taking advantage of the economies of skill and scale. We have the technical expertise required to implement complex, large-scale projects, and our unique pricing model makes costs “burstable”. Customers pay for what they need, when they need it.

Mobile Costs Reduced by 50%

The optimization and RFP process yielded over 50% in savings for the customer. This was achieved by analyzing usage patterns; adding and removing services; and by combining the purchasing power of four separate business units. Going forward, the customer can implement a solution to lower the cost of international roaming. This service was researched and vetted by Quartet. It’s expected to bring their wireless costs down by an additional 15%.

Overnight Network Recovery

At around 7:30PM on a Monday night, Quartet received an alert that imason’s firewall server failed to boot after updating. A quick look at the error messages and server specs told us that the problem was most likely hardware related, and would require new equipment. A defunct firewall server means no ingoing or outgoing email, no software updates, no company website and no access to the internet; imason would have been cut off. This problem had to be fixed before 9:00AM the following Tuesday morning.

Thales Rail Signal Solutions (Canada)

Upon taking ownership of the account in early 2010, Quartet oversaw a highly complex office move. This involved migrating the desktop hardware of 1,200 employees, setting up parallel networks at both old and new locations, planning and performing the move of 150 servers and designing and installing a network of wireless access points.

Wireless Cost Reduction

Wireless Costs were reduced 67%, which had a material impact on the customer’s bottom line. The implementation of Quartet’s Wireless Wolf Software improved transparency and control so that spending is maintained at these levels.
